While going thru my Fish Tank Pet hub, I came across this out of this world hub from Peter Dickinson. He’s hub is about an anti-gravity atmospheric pressure aquarium. (nerd alert!)

I hope you know by now why you need aquarium lights. Fish tank lighting is all about recereating the natural habitat day/night cycle of your fish. You don’t just go on buying any kind of fish tank light out there since lighting not intended for aquarium use usually lack wavelengths of the daylight spectrum that are crucial to the health of your fish and other aquarium life. Many of you who are beginners at this hobby would probably wonder why I’ve written this post on fish tank lighting. Don’t worry, I’ve felt the same way. When i was still a kid and didn’t know any better i just bought any kind of light bulb and stuck it on top of my aquarium. All the while making sure my aquarium looked good and nothing else. Apparently this wasn’t good enough for my fish since he decided to pass away and go to fish heaven (at least i hope that’s where he went). Although I’m not entirely sure that it was solely based on my poor choice of lights (HO bulbs) I’m pretty sure it was a BIG factor. [click to continue…]
