What the app stores, and where

Fishtank Pet stores all game data — your pet's name, species, hatch state, decoration arrangement, mini-game progress, coins, and settings — on your device, in the app's private storage.

Android backs this data up automatically as part of its standard app-data backup, which only the same Google account on the same set of devices can restore. We never see this data.

Uninstalling the app removes everything.

What the app does not do

• We don't collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers.
• We don't have analytics. We don't track which features you use, how long you play, or what time of day you open the app.
• We don't have advertising. There are no third-party ad SDKs in the app.
• We don't sell or share data with anyone, because we don't have any.
• We don't ask you to log in or create an account.
• The app does not require a network connection to play.

Permissions we request

SET_WALLPAPER is used when you tap "Set as wallpaper" in Settings, so the live wallpaper picker can install your tank as your home-screen wallpaper. It is used only at the moment you tap the button.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS on Android 13 and newer is used to send one local reminder if your pet hasn't been fed in approximately three days, so you don't accidentally lose them. The notification is generated on your device by Android's WorkManager.

We never send push notifications, and there is no marketing notification. You can deny this permission and the rest of the app works the same; you just won't get the reminder.

Children

The app is appropriate for all ages and contains no advertising, no in-app messaging, no user-generated content, and no link to external services. We don't knowingly collect any personal information from children or anyone else.

Purchases

Fishtank Pet offers optional in-app purchases, such as reviving a pet or upgrading storage. All transactions are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see your payment details — Google does.

Purchases are non-subscription, one-time payments. No purchase is required to play the game.

Third-party content

The app includes background music by Benjamin Tissot from bensound.com, licensed for use within the app. The music files are bundled and played locally; no streaming service is contacted.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change what the app collects, for example by adding crash reporting in a future update, we will update this page, bump the "Last updated" date, and note the change in the app's Play Store "What's new" text.

If a change introduces any data collection, even anonymous, we will explain what is collected, why, and how to opt out before the update goes live.
